Logo
-Logo is a symbol or other small design that were adopted from another organization to identify one product.
-A logo can represent one company or a product that were made.

-A symbol is a thing that represents or stands for something else, especially a material object representing something abstract.

-Website is a location connected to the Internet that maintains one or more web pages.

-A website is a collection of web pages, images, videos or other digital assets that is hosted on one or several Web server(s), usually accessible via the Internet, cell phone or a LAN.

-A corporate stationary is a call card, letter head, or an envelop that represent one company to do business widely.

Element of Graphic Design

-Shapes

-Lines

Shapes

-Shapes in art are limited to two dimensions: length and width. Geometric shapes have the clear edges. Organic shapes have natural, less well-defined edges.

-Shapes occurs different of shape. Example the picture below.

Lines

-Line is a long narrow mark or band. A line is a mark connecting two points. How we get from point A to point B gives the line its distinctive character and appearance. Lines can be long or short, straight or curved. Lines can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal. Lines can be solid, dashed, thick, thin, or of variable width. The endings of lines can be ragged, blunt, or curved.

-In Graphic Design. Line can be used to produce an art.

-Color can be defined as the property possessed by an object of producing different sensations on the eye as a result of the way it reflects or emits light.

-Color has two models. CMYK and RGB.

-Typography is one of important method that used among graphic designer.

-Typography can make your design more attractive , it can make a mood and take you back in different time. Typography can also be stylized and also used to make text legible and readable.

-Texture can be defined as the background of an image. Texture can make richness and dimension. Texture also can create personality and mood.

Tan Yau Hoong

Name: Tan Yau Hoong

Tan Yau Hoong is an artist, illustrator, graphic designer living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Age: 25

Born in: Malaysia

Background and Edication: He never had any professional training in art and design. He graduated with a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Work base on: Freelance work

How did Tan get into Design?: He thinks that he is really into art and design to make a living. Everything starts with some sort of hobby before he brought up the though of making a living from drawing and taking this into serious consideration. He found out some online T shirt design contest and taking part of it then that was his first win at Threadless.com. Then he starts the carrier of an artist/designer.

How would he describe style in design: He love doing more than one more style. He always tend to create some conceptual illustrations. He actually find hand drawn and clean vector (compatible) as he thinks that these two can be combined perfectly. He used to define his work in terms of theme and concept, they would be illusion, nature, universal, and conceptional.

I really like pop art . Artist that I admire in pop art is Andy Warhol. Andy Warhol (1923 – 1987) established himself as a Pop Art icon through his iconic multiple silk screened images of Campbell’s soup cans. Produced in a studio called The Factory, Warhol’s soup cans created a sensation in the art world and launched him as an international celebrity. Pop art is an Art more on bright colors.

Description Of My Poster:

My poster is myself standing backwards. I design it myself with a picture taken by my friend as I stand backwards. I use the element of pop art to my art work. In my picture I use a jacket. What I want to show is colours can make your life to be alive and happy. Each of us have favourite colour and colours also have their own meaning and expression.

Conclusion:

Now as a student, I’m still studying and fighting to have good grades. Actually I don’t know how to draw and sketch drawings. But when I try to develop myself, I know that I can do it. Imagination is important to graphic designer. Trying to develop your own skill in illustration and drawing is an advantage to become a successful person. One day, I want to become a freelance graphic designer and t shirt designer and develop more to show some amazing artwork.
