Elements of design

Line
Line is defined as a mark that span a distance between two points(or the path of a moving point), taking any form along the way. As an art element, line pertains to the use of various marks, outlines and implied lines in artwork and design, most
often use to define shape in two dimensional art work.

There are also have  different type of line like for example curved line, straight line ,dashed and dotted line, parallel line and many more.

Texture
The texture is the quality of a surface, often corresponding to its tactile character, or what may be sensed by touch. Texture may be used, for example, in portraying fabrics. It can be explicity rendered, or implied with other artistic elements such as lines, shading and variation of color.

It is based on the paint, and its application of materials such as ribbon, metal, wood, lace, leather and sand, cotton and box.

Positive and negative shape

There are drawings like positive and negative.Positive represent the colour of black shape. Negative represent the colour of white shape. For example the positive and negative of shape  nature and  subject matter

Positive and negative shape can also be combine to overlapping  of point. For example the overlapping of shape combine with nature and subject matter

Pointilism

Pointilism is a technique of painting in which small, distinct dots of pure color are applied in patterns to form an image. For example a picture of microfone.

Element type of point

Different type of shape

Shape pertains to the use of areas in two dimensional space that can be defined by edges, setting one flat specific space apart from another. Shape can be geometric, for example like cirle, square, triangle and many more.

Overlapping of point

What I can understand about overlapping of point where the object was combined. From two object to one object. For example:

You can see that the two object combine into one object. What I can understand is different object or shape can be combined into one object.

Sense of line

Sense of line can be found in one point. It can be form lines like an alphabet letter.

Sense of movement

Its starts from small point to bigger point.

When its start from a small point to a bigger point. Its forming a sense of movement. Where you can see. The point is actually moving.

Regular structure

Its starts at the same shape one to another. For example

Irregular structure

Its start from the same shape but randomly change one to another.

Illusion of depth

Its start like the point is actually showing illusion. For example

Point of direction

The point show the direction where it goes. For example like sound beat.

Line Art

Line Art
Line  art  or  line  drawing  is  any  image  that  consist  of  distinct  straight  and  curved  lines  placed  against  a  background  (usually  plain) , without  gradations  in  shade  (darkness)  or  hue  (color)  to  represent  2D  or  3D  objects.  Line art  can  use  lines  of  different  colors,  although  line  art  is  usually  monochromatic.  Line  art  emphasizes  form  and  outline, over  color,  shading,  and  texture.  However,  areas  of  solid  pigment  and  dots  can  also  be  used  in  addition  to  lines.  The  lines  in  a  piece  of  line  art  may  be  all  of  a  constant  width  (as in  some  pencil  drawings),  of  several  (few)  constant  widths  (as  in  technical  illustrations),  or  of  freely  varying  widths  (as  in  brush  works  or  engraving).
Line  art  may  tend  towards  realism  (as  in  much  of  Gustave  Dore's  work),  or  it  may  be  a  caricature,  cartoon,  ideograph,  or  glyph.
Before  the  development  of  photography  and  of  halftones,  line  art  was  the  standard  format  for  illustrations  to  be  used  in  print  publications,  ising  black  ink  on  white  paper.  Using  either  stipping  or
hatching,  shades  of  gray  could  also  be  simulated.
One  of  the  most  fundamentals  elements  of  art  is  the  line.  An  important  feature  of  a  line  is  that  it  indicates  the  edge  of  a  2D(flat)  shape  or  a  3D  form.  A  shape  can  be  indicated  by  means  of  an  outline  and  a  3D  form  can  be  indicated  by  contour  lines.
